Who Can Apply?
- Bangladeshi students who passed HSC/GCE or equivalent (Science Group).
- Students can apply for Engineering and Architecture undergraduate programs.
Admission Process
- Apply online before the deadline.
- After submission, MIST will publish the list of eligible candidates and admit cards.
- The admission test will be held following a proper seat plan.
- The final selection will be based on merit and waiting lists after the MIST Admission Result is announced.

Eligibility Criteria
- SSC (or Equivalent): Passed in 2022 or 2021 with at least GPA 4.00 (out of 5.00).
- HSC (or Equivalent): Passed in 2024 or 2023 with minimum total GPA of 17 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
- Biomedical Engineering: Biology required with minimum ‘A-’ in HSC or ‘C’ in A-Level.
- GCE ‘O’ Level: Passed with at least ‘B’ in 5 subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
- GCE ‘A’ Level: Passed with at least 2 ‘B’ grades and 1 ‘C’ grade in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.

How to Apply?
- Visit mist.teletalk.com.bd.
- Fill up the online application form.
- After submission, you will receive a USER ID.
- Send an SMS to 16222 from a Teletalk prepaid mobile with your USER ID.
- Application Fee: Tk 800 for Unit A, Tk 1000 for Unit B or A+B.
Quota Requirements
- Military Ward Quota: Certificate from the concerned military authority.
- Freedom Fighter Quota: Submit official documents proving relation with the freedom fighter.
- Tribal Quota: Certificate from Upazila Chairman, verified by District Commissioner.
MIST Admit Card Download 2025
- Only eligible candidates can download their admit cards from mist.teletalk.com.bd from 10 February 2025.
- Login using your USER ID and password.
- Print the admit card in color on A4-size paper.
Marks Distribution
- Unit A (Engineering): Math - 40, Physics - 30, Chemistry - 20, English - 10. (Total 100 Marks)
- Unit B (Architecture): Drawing & Architecture Topics - 100 Marks.
Exam Duration: 2 hours for Unit A, 4 hours for Unit B (with a break).
Note: No multiple-choice questions (MCQs). All questions are written.
MIST Admission Form
Application Process: Go to the MIST website (mist.teletalk.com.bd) and fill out the online application form. After submitting, you will get a USER ID. Then, send an SMS to 16222 from a Teletalk pre-paid mobile with enough balance, including your USER ID. The application fee is Tk 800 for UNIT A and Tk 1000 for UNIT B and UNIT (A+B). You can find full details on the MIST website. After completing both steps, you will get a password via SMS, which you can use to download your Admit Card.
Required Documents for Quota Applicants
Freedom Fighter:
Submit related Bangladesh Gazettes, temporary certificates from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, LalMuktibarta, the Indian List, and a certificate from Bangladesh MuktiJoddha Sangsad. Also, provide a relationship certificate proving your connection to the freedom fighter.
JCO/ OR/ NC(E) of Army/ Navy/ Air Forces:
Submit a certificate or Service Record Book from the relevant Arms/Service’s Record Office or Drafting Office.
Military Ward (Children of Military Personnel):
Serving: Provide a certificate from the Organization Head or authorized officials.
Retired Officers:
Provide a certificate from CORO, Naval Secretariat, or Air Secretariat.
Tribal:
Submit a certificate issued by the local Upazila Chairman and signed by the District Commissioner.
All quota applicants must submit the original documents (hardcopy) to the MIST Admission Office by February 22, 2022, for verification.
MIST Admission Result 2025
The MIST Admission Result 2025 has been published today, March 3, 2024, on the admission.mist.ac.bd website. The merit list and waiting list for the Bangladesh Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Admission Test are now available.
Separate lists have been published for different quotas:
- General Quota: 357 candidates selected
- Military Ward Quota: 248 candidates selected
- Freedom Fighter Quota: 12 candidates selected
- Tribal Quota: 3 candidates selected
These candidates are selected for the Engineering Program at MIST. The 2nd Merit List and Waiting List for MIST Admission 2025 were published on March 16, 2024.

Medical Check-up
If you are selected for admission, you must go for a medical check-up at the MIST medical center. You will need to submit reports of urine, blood, and blood grouping tests. The MIST medical team will decide if you are physically fit for admission.
Admission Rules
If you are finally selected, follow these rules:
- Complete the admission process within the given time.
- If you do not complete the admission on time, your selection will be canceled.
- A waiting list will be prepared based on merit.
- If you do not attend classes within two weeks after classes start, your admission will be canceled, and your fees will not be refunded.
Documents Needed for Admission
You must submit these documents during admission:
- Original SSC and HSC certificates and mark sheets.
- Three passport-size color photos, attested by a class-I gazetted officer.
- A character certificate from the head of your last institution.
- A nationality certificate, birth certificate, or national ID card.
Guardian’s Approval
Both you and your parents/guardians must sign a consent certificate in the admission form. This means you agree to all the rules set by MIST.
Department Selection
Your department will be assigned based on your merit position in the admission test. MIST will try to give you your preferred department as much as possible.
Cancellation of Admission
Your admission will be canceled if:
- You fail a drug test at any stage of admission or studies.
- You provide false or incomplete information.
